Terms of Service
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Ratecard (tryratecard.com), whether you run a rate card as a creator or book and pay a creator as a fan. By creating an account or making a payment, you agree to them.
1. What Ratecard is
Ratecard gives creators a public page where they list their prices and sell paid calls, video replies and other offers. Fans pay through our payment partners, and the creator receives their share. Ratecard is the platform that connects you. We are not a party to the service a creator provides and we don't guarantee its quality.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create a creator account.
- Give accurate information, and keep your login details private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person or business per account. Don't take a username to impersonate someone or to sell it on.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
3. Creators
- You set your own prices and decide what you offer. You must deliver what you advertise, on the terms you show fans.
- You're responsible for the content you publish and deliver, and for having the rights to it.
- You're responsible for your own taxes on the money you earn.
- To receive money you must finish payout setup with our payment partner (Bachs or Stripe) and accept their terms. They may ask to verify your identity or bank account.
4. Plans and fees
Every plan can sell. Ratecard keeps a platform fee from each sale, set by your plan: Basic (free) 10%, Starter 5%, Pro 0%. Paid plans are billed monthly at the price shown when you subscribe. Fans pay the payment processing fee at checkout, on top of your price.
We may change plan prices or fees. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects you, and you can cancel or switch plans before it takes effect.
5. Fans and payments
- The price shown at checkout, including processing fees, is what you pay. Payments are handled by Bachs or Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Video replies: if the creator declines your request or doesn't deliver by the deadline, you're refunded automatically.
- Calls: if a creator doesn't show up or cancels, contact the creator first. If you can't sort it out, email hello@tryratecard.com within 14 days and we'll look into it.
- Once a call has taken place or a video reply has been delivered, the purchase is final unless the law where you live says otherwise.
- If you file a chargeback for a purchase you received, we may suspend your ability to book.
6. Calls and video replies
Calls run in your browser through our video partner. Be respectful. Don't record a call or share a video reply publicly without the other person's permission. Video replies are delivered to the fan who paid for them for personal use; the creator keeps ownership of them.
7. What you can't do
- Sell or request anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, or content that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone.
- Sell regulated goods or services you aren't licensed to sell, or run scams, pyramid schemes or misleading offers.
- Use stolen payment details, launder money, or use Ratecard to get around a payment partner's rules.
- Copy, scrape, overload or try to break into the service, or create accounts with bots.
- Use someone else's name, brand or content without permission.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give Ratecard a licence to host, display and send it as needed to run the service, including showing your public page and featuring it in examples of Ratecard. This ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts fans or creators at risk, or that a payment partner asks us to stop serving. Where we can, we'll tell you why. Money already owed to you will still be paid out, unless it's tied to fraud or a refund.
10. Liability
Ratecard is provided as it is. We work to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid Ratecard in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Changes and governing law
We'll email you about significant changes to these terms before they take effect. Continuing to use Ratecard after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes go to the courts of Nigeria.
How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy.
